In 2024，Guangzhou City University of Technology (GCUT) offered 51 undergraduate majors and 6 among which are provincial first-class majors, 11 among which are provincial quality specialty with engineering characteristics. Meanwhile, 3 majors are approved to be provincial application-orientation talent cultivation demonstration ones while 3 majors are included into provincial pilot comprehensive reform of majors. 44 majors are listed in the ranking of the first-class (applied) majors among China’s universities on the Cuaa Net. Among these majors, 18 are rated as six-star majors, 14 five-star majors and 12 four-star majors. In recent years, GCUT has set up a batch of majors featured with “new engineering” and “new liberal arts” including Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics Engineering, New Energy Vehicle Engineering, Intelligent Construction, Big Data Management and Application, Supply Chain Management and Visual Communication Design. Since its establishment in the last decade, majors of GCUT has gradually formed a structure featured with coordinated multidisciplinary development with engineering as its focus.
